Our History

Chas. N. Clark Associates (CNC) is a civil engineering and architectural firm founded in Waynesboro, MS in 1946 by the late Charles “Nimmo” Clark. Mr. Nimmo Clark moved the office to its current location on Hillcrest Drive in Laurel, Mississippi in the late 1950s. CNC continues to be a privately owned company with Lawrence “Ronnie” Clark, P.E. at the helm since 1982. Mr. Jeffery A. Graves joined CNC after graduating from Mississippi State University in 1981. He was promoted to President in 2007 and continues to serve in that capacity today. CNC employs 30 highly talented and skilled individuals to meet the needs of our clients.

Chas. N. Clark Associates was founded with the engineering of roads and bridges and land surveying as its backbone. In the 1960s, the company expanded into planning, designing, and construction administration of poultry facilities, water wastewater infrastructure, and municipal buildings. Clark Engineers has become the nation’s leader in the design of greenfield poultry complexes. CNC continues to work extensively with multiple county Boards of Supervisors providing infrastructure and industrial engineering services in strict compliance with the guidelines of OSARC, FHWA, HUD, MDOT, USDA, and MDA.

Chas. N. Clark Associates has continued, since its establishment, to provide quality engineering services to our clients in the public and private sectors with unparalleled professional design and construction engineering services.
